Key responsibilities (May include but not limited to):
- Presentable uniform appearance is required at all times
- Responsible for the safe operation, the quality of output, and the effective and efficient operation of the Shipping and Receiving area
- Responsible for housekeeping of the department, or as assigned
- Comply with ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions and checklists
- Prepare/check shipping documents
- Label/stencil containers
- Load trailers with proper weight distribution
- Ensure load is properly secured
- Post inventory
- Adjust inventory
- Initiate Service Reports
- Maintain logs/appropriate forms
- Load/unload carriers
- Inspect incoming/outgoing materials/containers
- Verify unloaded material against shipping documents
- Organize/rotate stock
- Operate/maintain equipment
- Operate scanner
- Fills in as necessary in production
- Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding Principles. Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are a responsibility of every PVS Employee.
Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):
- High School education or equivalent (GED)
- Shipping/receiving related experience and/or training
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Knowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirements
- Knowledge of chemical segregation requirements
- Familiar with ISO-9001 concepts
- Knowledge of appropriate regulatory/safety requirements
- Forklift experience
- Good communication skills
