Reporting Line: Director of Procurement
Job Purpose
Own the strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for assigned category (Specialty Chemicals), ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop category strategy based on market trends and business needs
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers
- Manage supplier performance and risk
- Collaborate with branches and buyers to align category strategy with operational needs
- Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives
- Maintain category documentation and supplier scorecards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related field
- 5 years of experience in procurement or category management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of category-specific market dynamics
- Experience with procurement systems and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Experience in chemicals or industrial commodities
- Certifications such as CPSM or Six Sigma
