Job Title: Engineering Project Manager
Location: Lake Forest, CA (PVP Advanced EO Systems facilities)
Position SummaryWe are seeking an Engineering Project Manager with a mechanical engineering or similar technical background to help lead multidisciplinary projects from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for an engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience who has transitioned into project coordination or management responsibilities and is looking to grow into a leadership role. You will bridge engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer stakeholders – ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as point of contact for project status, reporting, and communication.
- Support program reviews, customer demonstrations, and technical documentation.
- Translate technical updates into actionable information for both internal and external stakeholders.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Apply engineering background to understand requirements, designs, and trade spaces.
- Track progress of prototype builds, system integration, and environmental testing.
Process & Quality Management
- Ensure projects comply with AS9100D/ISO 9001 processes and ITAR requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in project execution and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical discipline).
- 2 years prior experience managing or coordinating projects, with exposure to formal project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and customer-facing interactions.
- Familiarity with EO/IR systems, gimbals, or similar high-precision electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus.
- U.S. Person eligibility required (for compliance with ITAR regulations).
