What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Manager (Solar Energy) position at PVH - PVHardware?
PVHardware is looking for an Engineering Manager to provide strategic leadership in product design and structural engineering. Drive innovation, optimize design methodologies, and ensure technical excellence in all customer-facing documentation and proposals.
PVH - PVHardware is a provider of innovative solar tracking solutions for the global utility-scale solar market, including trackers, fixed structures and SCADA system. Yet, we are the third largest solar tracker supplier in the world and aiming to be the leader in the industry!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 4 years in an Engineering leadership position
- Experience in the solar tracking sector and in the calculation of structures is highly preferred.
- Use of finite element calculation software Ansys, Abaqus, Consteel.
- Knowledge of Eurocode, ASCE. calculation standards.
- AutoCAD knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Office is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
- Establish and standardize rigorous calculation and design methodologies across the department.
- Oversee the engineering lifecycle of project proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Perform high-level reviews of engineering reports to ensure quality and compliance.
- Drive operational efficiency by implementing automated tools and streamlining design processes.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and external stakeholders, ensuring product validation and alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and communicate key technical differentiators for product positioning.
