What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer position at PVH Legwear?
The Designer will work with our Design team and manage projects for our socks and hosiery business across men's, women's, and kids'. This person will be responsible for approving and reviewing tech packs through PLM, reviewing comments on designs, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time. They will also work on creating new designs by brand and lead a team with design/trend direction. Our ideal candidate is a great team player with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Track seasonal calendar deliverables to ensure all developments are flowing on time
- Work on sketches and recolors to present and help merchandise individual sock packs for private label brands
- Approve tech packs in PLM by ensuring all information within the BOM, technical and design details are correct and clear for factory to execute protos
- Review daily proto and PPS samples with Design team, ensuring complete accuracy
- Create color palettes and trend ideas per season
- Partner with Merchandising team to help service CAD and sample needs
- Conduct ongoing market research
- Set up planogram/wall display layouts on Illustrator for buyers on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design preferred
- 5 years of Design experience
- Experience working in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- PLM experience is a plus, Centric preferred
- Portfolio that demonstrates Design experience and abilities
Annual salary range starting at $70,000
