This is a combination front and back office position. Looking for reliable, independent, friendly outgoing individuals that work as team player in a busy podiatric clinic. We are looking for part and full-time" employees, 30-40 hours per week. As Medical Receptionist this position includes, scheduling patient appointments, rooming patients, keeping an even patient flow. Inventory and supply ordering, scheduling consults, MRIs, CTs, Ultrasound injection, Emgs. Patient scheduling, pharmacy calls, insurance verification.
Podiatric or Orthopedic experience a plus but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records
- Arrange and schedule consults, MRI, Nerve Conduction studies and laboratory services
- File Dictation
- insurance verifications
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical receptionist
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- EMR experience in Modernizing Medicine helpful but no a requirement
