POSITION SUMMARY:
Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is looking for a Sales Representative to join our dynamic team! The position is responsible for the promotion and sale of products (custom manufactured products and components) within PTE Manufacturing and specifically with the Tahoma Print & Manufacturing Product line. The sales representative is responsible for fulfilling agreed upon sales quotas and gross margins that are adequate to help support profitability within the business unit.
PTE is focused on leveraging our existing assets to generate above-market returns for the Puyallup Tribe and our strategic partners. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with proven technical, strategic, and analytical skills. This critical role will support our manufacturing division, as we continue to grow and diversify our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospect customer opportunities
- Generate and deliver quotes to acquire new, profitable business
- Forecast and budget for assigned and generated accounts
- Maintain existing business and customer relationships
- Sell into multiple industries, both regulated and nonregulated
- Collaborate with internal resources and management to ensure solutions for success
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
- Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- 2 years of sales experience with an emphasis on custom manufactured products
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to effectively project manage at all stages of sales cycle
- Strong relationship building and negotiating skills
- Practical and results oriented
- Strong computer proficiency and advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Ability to understand basic technical requirements and blueprints
- Ability to understand basic contract language
- Ability to make wise decisions using effectual mix of analysis, experience, and judgment
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Relates well to all people, diplomatic /gracious; builds good relationships without compromising results
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass Background Check
Preferred
- Experience selling for an 8(a) registered company or similar type of diverse supplier
- Experience selling directly to DoD and/or government entities
- Experience selling into industrial and OEM accounts
- Four-year degree in related area, or equivalent
