We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Licensed Insurance Agent to join our insurance agency. This role is well suited for both currently licensed professionals and individuals that are interested in obtaining their insurance license.
The ideal candidate loves talking to people, proactively solving issues, and is a great multi-tasker. This person will initially be responsible for identifying cross-sell opportunities, client account reviews, processing policies, quoting and issuing new policies, along with overall support. Responsibilities include:
- Identify cross-selling sales opportunities with existing clients
- Service and maintain an existing book of business, that includes renewals, endorsements, and policy reviews.
- Communicate with customers via various platforms
- Provide knowledgeable answers to questions
- Work with internal departments to meet customer’s needs
- Data entry in various platforms
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure a seamless client experience
Qualifications
- Active New York State Property & Casualty Insurance License or willingness to obtain license
- At least 1 or 2 years office experience
- Strong communication and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Technology & computer proficiency
- Positive Attitude
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently & with others
- Reliable
- Ability to pass background check
Training & Support
- Agency paid pre-licensing education course
- Agency-paid NYS licensing exam and application fee
- Onboarding & ongoing training to support long term success
