What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Agent (1-2 years office experience) position at Putnam Record Insurance Agency?
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Licensed Insurance Agent to join our insurance agency.
The ideal candidate is reliable, loves talking to people, proactively solving issues, and is a great multi-tasker. This person will be responsible for identifying cross-sell opportunities, client account reviews, processing policies, quoting and issuing new policies, along with overall support. We will provide you with the training. This position provides opportunity for job growth & continuing education.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify cross-selling sales opportunities with existing clients
- Service and maintain an existing book of business, that includes renewals, endorsements, and policy reviews.
- Communicate with customers via various platforms
- Effectively quote & sell insurance policies once licensed
- Provide knowledgeable answers to questions
- Work with internal departments to meet customer’s needs
- Data entry in various platforms
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure a seamless client experience
Qualifications
- Active New York State Property & Casualty Insurance License. If not licensed, obtaining a Property & Casualty license within 6 months of being employed.
- At least 1 or 2 years office experience
- Strong communication and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Technology & computer proficiency
- Positive Attitude
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently & with others
- Reliable
- Ability to pass background check
