Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to protocols
• Oversee sample collection, processing, and analysis to maintain accuracy and quality standards
• Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to foster professional development and ensure compliance
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Document laboratory procedures, results, and quality control measures accurately
• Manage inventory of supplies and reagents, placing orders as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Two-year or four-year degree in medical lab technology required; advanced degrees preferred
• Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• This position is expected to be able to perform bench work
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
• Must be proficient in phlebotomy
• Certification preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
