| Job Summary: | The surgery RN will be responsible for patient care pre-operatively, inter-operatively, and post-operatively. |
| Job Duties/Responsibilities: | |
| • | Rooms patients and gathers clinical history |
| • | Internal and external departmental collaboration of patient care |
| • | Obtains IV access on pediatric and adult patients |
| • | Provides pre/intra/post-operative education |
| • | Enters patient data into EMR (CPSI) |
| • | Circulates for a variety of specialty cases |
| • | Ensures patient safety during operative procedures |
| • | Maintains sterility of duration of care |
| • | Facilitates patient recovery and proper follow-up care |
| • | Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality |
| • | Abides by HIPAA guidelines |
| • | Performs other duties as assigned (LEAVE ON FOR NON-EXEMPT JOBS ONLY) |
