Putnam County Hospital is looking for a Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team! This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. The position would be 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Performs a variety of routine manual cleaning services and other related duties required to keep Putnam County hospital clean, orderly, safe and comfortable for patients, visitors, and staff. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning of all the Hospital, Patient rooms, Clinics, Surgery areas including but not limited to the following: floors, walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, beds, bathrooms fixtures, corridors, elevators, soiled utility rooms, biohazardous areas, offices.
- Transports general biohazardous and chemical waste.
- Routinely cleans, mops, runs a sweeper, polishes, makes beds, removes trash,
- Follows all universal precautions, blood- born pathogen procedures and uses personal protective equipment as directed.
- Reports repairs or safety concerns to Supervisor and follows inhouse reporting procedures in a timely manner.
- Must work well alone or with team members.
- Must be able to lift/ move up to 10lbs, Must be able to push and pull moderately heavy carts without assistance. Must be able to use hands, reach with arms, stand and walk for long periods of time, Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Must be willing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization and infection control in assigned areas.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to stand/walk for entirety of shift
- Some lifting and pushing
- Ability to abide by all hospital policies and procedures

- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the organization's facilities
