Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, occupational, or speech therapy needs through detailed evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to promote patient progress and functional improvement.
- Monitor and document patient responses to therapy interventions, adjusting approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive strategies, and home programs to support ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
Experience
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), or Speech Therapist (ST) in the relevant state or region.
- Prior experience working in a clinical or outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and connect with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of current therapy techniques, assessment tools, and documentation standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients alike.
