Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
- Repair or replace components such as transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and air brakes.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various automotive tasks.
- Work with automotive electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle's needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with dealership experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is desirable.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience in diesel engine repair is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions, alignment, suspension, tire service, and brake repair.
- Ability to perform auto body repair when necessary.
- Competence in auto estimating for parts and labor costs.
- Experience working on GM vehicles is an advantage.
- Welding skills are a plus for certain repairs.
