What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Processor position at Push Iron & Metals?
Material processors will take on a number of tasks including but not limited to:
- Sorting, processing, and moving recyclable metal materials by hand and sometimes forklift;
- Loading outbound trucks and unloading inbound trucks;
- Using different types of machines to process materials; and
- Dismantle appliances, properly handling and disposing of any contaminants such as freon.
Work is performed year round, both inside and outside. Must be self-motivated, able to take direction, and willing to learn the industry. Customer service skills are a plus due to working with the public at times in receiving.
