Senior Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) responsible for designing, building, and transforming payment investigations platforms using Pega Smart Investigate, enabling scalable, AI-enabled, high-STP operations for wholesale banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Pega Smart Investigate (SI) platforms
- Define scalable, secure, API-first architectures aligned with enterprise banking ecosystems
- Own case lifecycle design (dispatch, orchestration, resolution)
- Payments Investigation Expertise
- Drive solutions for payment exceptions, investigations, inquiries across SWIFT / Cross-border / MT-MX rails
- Optimize STP, exception handling, and investigation workflows
- Address complexity across multiple case types and edge scenarios
- Implementation & Delivery
- Lead design, development, and rollout of Smart Investigate solutions
- Govern adherence to Pega guardrails, SDLC, and performance standards
- Drive modernization including migration, platform upgrades, and decommissioning of legacy systems
- AI & Automation Enablement
- Integrate enterprise AI / agentic automation via APIs into SI ecosystem
- Enable intelligent routing, case enrichment, and automation (GenAI / LLM / agents)
- Drive productivity improvements and operational efficiency
- Performance & Optimization
- Improve processing throughput, latency, and STP targets
- Design queue processing, agent scheduling, and background jobs
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage with business, product, and operations stakeholders
- Provide architectural guidance to senior leadership and client teams
- Lead onshore-offshore delivery teams
Required Skills & Experience
Core Pega
- Pega LSA certified (mandatory)
- Strong experience in:
- Pega Smart Investigate / Smart Dispute / Case management
- Case lifecycle design, workflow orchestration
- Integration (APIs, event-driven architectures)
- Expertise in Pega 8.x / Infinity platforms
Payments & Banking
- Deep experience in:
- Wholesale banking / payments operations
- Payment investigations, SWIFT messaging (MT/MX), ISO, CBPR
- Exception processing and inquiry handling
Technical Capabilities
- Architecture patterns, microservices, API-first design
- Queue processing, SLA management, and workload orchestration
- Cloud exposure (Pega Cloud / AWS preferred)
AI / Advanced Capabilities
- Exposure to:
- AI/GenAI/agent-based automation frameworks
- Productivity tools (Copilot-like capabilities)
