Role: Java App Support Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Type: 12 Months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support Java-based applications in production environments.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents within SLA timelines.
- Investigate application logs and identify root causes of issues.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Work with Unix/Linux commands to monitor processes, review logs, and perform operational activities.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and release support activities.
- Document issue resolutions, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Provide on-call support as required.
Required Skills:
- Experience supporting applications developed in Java.
- Good understanding of SQL with the ability to write queries for data analysis and validation.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell commands.
- Knowledge of application logs and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of production support processes, including incident and problem management.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
