The Tool Setter performs basic machining processes and learns more complex processes. This position focuses on new tool setter technology and RFID communications.
Location: Stuart, Florida. On-Site. Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM.

About The Opportunity
The Tool Setter performs basic machining processes and learns more complex processes. This position focuses on new tool setter technology and RFID communications.
Location: Stuart, Florida. On-Site. Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM.
Responsibilities
- Lay out tools for all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets.
- Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required.
- Loads and deletes programs in the computer.
- Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine.
- Learn the machinability of metals.
- Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools).
- Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions.
- Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained.
- Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function.
- Communication of damaged tools to machinist for review.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions.
- Assists with related training of other employees as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge and ability to use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry
- Effective written and verbal communications skills to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak before employees in the organization
- Good math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
- Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
