About the Opportunity: 

We’re looking for an experienced 2nd shift Machinist, who has completed a CNC Machining Program. You will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers

Location: Newburyport, MA. This position is 100% onsite. 

 Responsibilities

• Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy.
• Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
• Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency certified required.
• 3-5 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Understanding of G and M Codes.
• Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Troubleshooting Skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. 
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Compensation:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $30-35 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
