Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Massage Therapist role located in Sylacauga, AL at Pursell Farms. The Massage Therapist will provide professional massage and body treatments tailored to guests’ needs, ensuring a calm, safe, and welcoming environment. Daily responsibilities include performing therapeutic and relaxation-focused massages, recommending appropriate treatments, and educating guests on wellness, self-care, and stress management techniques. The role also involves maintaining treatment rooms and equipment, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards, and accurately managing appointment schedules and service documentation. The Massage Therapist will collaborate closely with the spa and resort team, support peak business times, and consistently deliver a high level of guest service.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage techniques, with the ability to customize treatments to individual guest needs.
- Experience and skill in specialized modalities such as Shiatsu or other complementary massage techniques.
- Strong understanding of Stress Management principles and wellness practices to support guest relaxation and recovery.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and professional communication with guests and team members.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain), with adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on resort and guest demand.
- Physical stamina to perform multiple treatments per day and maintain proper body mechanics.
- Prior experience in a resort, spa, or hospitality setting is preferred, along with a strong commitment to cleanliness, punctuality, and teamwork.
