Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated DSP/Caregivers to join our team for overnight shifts from 10PM to 6AM. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence.
- Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall well-being, ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety during movement.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and assist residents with eating as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and laundry.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues, utilizing first aid or CPR skills when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs is desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfers and mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
