We are now seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) who brings warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help others reclaim their lives.
Compensation: $18-$21/hour, depending on your experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be a steady, caring presence for clients who are working to rebuild their lives. You’ll support them through daily routines, help maintain a safe environment, and work alongside our Clinical and Operations Teams to create structure and consistency during treatment. Your role includes observing and documenting client activity within the facility, as well as collecting and processing urine samples in alignment with Purpose Healing Center policy and procedure. You will complete required documentation accurately, report positive results promptly, and ensure records are handled with care and professionalism. Through your patience, compassion, and attention to detail, you’ll help foster an atmosphere built on dignity, trust, and meaningful progress.
What You’ll Do
- Support and supervise clients throughout their treatment experience in our residential and detox setting
- Observe, document, and report client behavior to help ensure safety and accountability
- Encourage clients in their recovery by offering guidance rooted in 12 step principles
- Conduct and document urinalysis drug testing twice weekly or as needed per procedural guidelines
- Monitor testing with same sex observation to maintain program and compliance standards
- Record results clearly, obtain client signatures, and maintain accurate logs and records
- Notify the Clinical Director immediately if any concerns arise during the UA process
- Report unusual behavior or safety concerns promptly and professionally
- Uphold strict confidentiality as well as high ethical and professional standards
- Follow all Purpose Healing Center policies, procedures, and expectations
- Practice proper hygiene and infection control when handling samples, materials, or supplies
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Current food handler’s card
- Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
- One year of behavioral health experience (preferred but not required)
- Peer Support Certification (preferred but not required)
