POSITION PURPOSE
Purpose Brands 414 (PB414)—the parent organization of Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique—is seeking a Warehouse Lead to play a key role in advancing its mission through effective warehouse operations. This position is more than logistical; it's an opportunity to serve alongside a heart-forward team who are passionate about stewarding the vision of PB414—to create a space where the Kingdom of Heaven is made tangible on earth. The Warehouse Manager will also help lead offsite initiatives, enhance volunteer engagement, streamline event preparation, support stores strategically, and foster meaningful collaboration with the broader community.
POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose Brands 414 is looking for a reliable, energetic Warehouse Lead to support our warehouse operations, process donations, and handle merchandise for internal operations and offsite events. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager and the PB414 team to make sure our warehouse runs smoothly and reflects our mission to help people and communities flourish. In this role, you will process incoming donations, keep the space organized and efficient, and support all marketplace-related activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse & Processing Operations
- Assist in the processing of all donation types, including Thrift Out bags, boutique donations, and new (raw) donations.
- Support daily warehouse functions while maintaining high standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety.
- Help organize, maintain, and continually improve the processing area to support efficient workflow and evolving business needs.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and achieve processing targets.
- Assist with inventory management for fixtures, supplies, donations, and Boutique/Bold Lives product, ensuring timely staging, tracking, replenishment, and distribution.
- Coordinate with the Thrift Out team and the Thrift Out Volunteer Coordinator to align processing priorities with business needs, sales trends, and warehouse capacity.
- Assist in preparing product for events and collection efforts as needed.
Courier & Logistics Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate courier deliveries, transfers, and pickups to and from all stores.
- Ensure timely, accurate movement of inventory and supplies between the warehouse, boutiques, and Bold Lives.
- Communicate proactively with store managers and directors regarding courier needs, delays, and changes.
Volunteer Engagement
- Assist in leading volunteer groups during warehouse or processing shifts.
- Provide clear direction, training, and support to volunteers to ensure consistency and quality.
- Partner with Thrift Out’s Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteers are effectively deployed based on daily priorities.
Interactions & Customer Service
- Assist donors by providing excellent service and ensuring all donations are handled respectfully.
- Ensure warehouse visitors feel valued, welcomed, and informed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all staff, volunteers, and guests.
- Support the Operations Team in ongoing warehouse and processing initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe, accessible, and organized space at all times.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain strong relationships with directors, store managers, and volunteers to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Work closely with other PB414 departments to support mission integrity and cross-functional growth.
- Check organizational communication platforms every shift to stay aligned with current needs and priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: The Warehouse Lead will have a proven history of embodying and exemplifying PB414’s core values of Growth, Trust, Honor, Servanthood, and Excellence.
- Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize and multitask independently and effectively in varying work settings that can be fast-paced and slow-paced, depending on business needs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding warehouse tasks including lifting 50 pounds of merchandise overhead, transferring products between shelves, loading/unloading trucks, and organizing inventory for efficient workflow.
- Fashion Awareness: Keen understanding of fashion trends and brands, with a talent for sorting donations according to guidelines and objectives.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with diverse personalities and demographics.
