Youth Mentor

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Mentor to support and guide young individuals in our community. This role involves building trusting relationships, providing positive role modeling, and fostering personal growth among youth facing various challenges. The Youth Mentor will work closely with children and adolescents, including those with disabilities or behavioral health needs, to promote their well-being and development in a safe and supportive environment.

Duties

• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with youth to serve as a positive role model
• Assist in developing individualized plans to support each child's emotional, social, and educational needs
• Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, confidence, and independence
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to coordinate care and support services
• Provide guidance on conflict resolution and behavioral management strategies
• Support children in navigating challenges related to child welfare or special education needs
• Monitor progress and document observations related to each youth’s development
• Promote a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and confidentiality standards

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
