Role Description The Sales Lead is a part-time, on-site role based in Shrewsbury, NJ, responsible for driving store sales performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience. In this position, the Sales Lead guides customers through product features and benefits, conducts demonstrations of Purple mattresses and accessories, and supports individuals in selecting solutions that meet their comfort and support needs. The role oversees daily floor operations, helps coordinate staffing and scheduling, and assists in maintaining visual merchandising standards and inventory organization. The Sales Lead contributes to training and coaching team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices, while monitoring key performance metrics and providing feedback to store leadership. This position also collaborates with cross-functional teams on local marketing initiatives, gathers customer insights, and promotes Purple’s brand values and culture in the store env

- Strong Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal interactions, and professional written communication.
- Proven Customer Service skills with a focus on building trust, resolving concerns, and creating positive in-store experiences.
- Demonstrated Sales skills, including consultative selling, product presentations, and closing techniques in a retail or similar environment.
- Experience in Training team members on product knowledge, selling approaches, and customer engagement methods.
- Sales Management capabilities, such as mentoring staff, tracking performance goals, and supporting store leadership with daily operations.
- Experience in retail, specialty bedding, or consumer products is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move or lift products as needed, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or related fields is a plus.
