Part Time Sales Manager

Position Summary:

As a Sales Lead at Purple, you will play a key role by driving personal sales, meeting performance goals, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while embodying the company’s core values. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your selling skills, master product knowledge, and become a top performer within our retail stores. You will also contribute to the development and coaching of team members, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive Sales & KPIs:

• Make strategic sales decisions that align with Purple’s core values.
• Drive personal sales and performance by executing effective sales strategies to meet Purple’s performance metrics.
• Set and manage clear personal sales goals, take ownership of results, monitor progress, and track individual performance.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Personal Development:

• Exhibit selling behaviors that align with Purple’s strategies.
• Continuously develop selling skills, product knowledge, and performance.
• Contribute to creating a positive and motivating work environment for the team.

Uphold Visual and Operational Standards:

• Adhere to Purple’s policies, including safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with the Showroom Manager to maintain visual merchandising and operational standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and adopt a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to learn and share product knowledge with customers to ensure they find the best solution for their needs and preferences.
• Set an example in demonstrating and instilling company values such as safety, community, communication, development, accountability, and innovation.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years’ experience in a retail environment strongly preferred.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Have a passion for delivering great service.
• Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• A desire to improve selling behavior and problem-solving techniques.
• A solid understanding of basic business management functions.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Moving in various positions to complete tasks in different environments.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for extended periods.
• Moving around to complete tasks or transitioning between different work areas.
• Reaching or bending frequently.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 200 pounds with team assistance or equipment.
• Repeating motions such as using wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Operating power tools, depending on the role.
• Assessing the accuracy and quality of work performed.
