Purple is actively seeking a bright and enthusiastic Public Relations Account Executive to join its VIP & influencer Division in the agency’s Los Angeles office, working across our high-profile fashion clients to implement communications strategies. The Account Executive will play an essential role in supporting the development and execution of integrated communication campaigns for not only VIP influencer clients, but lifestyle, beauty and fashion, generating maximum brand exposure through implementing communication strategies, including traditional and new media and brand partnerships.


The ideal candidate will be expected to have an existing base of fashion stylist and publicist contacts and be able to support the VIP fashion team’s efforts to secure maximum red carpet & street style coverage across all relevant media channels. Must be comfortable engaging with media and clients, organized, driven and creative. Strong written communication skills and an established understanding of public relations are essential.


Key Responsibilities

· Co-ordinate logistics for VIP dressing

· Work with showroom team to ensure clients inventory is accurate and up to date

· Hold showroom appointments with stylists and VIPs

· Support VIP services manager on daily VIP related activity

· Establish and maintain relationships with stylists, publicists, and influencers.

· Organize and execute client gifting initiatives, including ideating on personalized gifting lists, managing outreach, and overseeing distribution to key contacts.

· Manage daily sample requests and co-ordinate returns

· Provide weekly event calendars with event listings and VIPS in town using industry subscription sites

· Stay updated on current trends, high-profile events, and new talent relevant to brand aesthetic and target audience

· Manage the distribution of VIP dressing alerts and follow up for credits.

· Actively track seeding results

· Provide support as VIP liaison during events and send all VIP’s their images for posting post-event

· Managing VIP transport and accommodation where relevant

· Assist in stylist outreach for potential celebrity/VIP opportunities for upcoming events (awards shows, film festivals, press tours, etc.) and street style placements.

· Assist in stylist and VIP/influencer outreach for seasonal press days

· Prepare end of month reports including all monthly activity, send outs, coverage achieved and forthcoming coverage.

· Attending client meetings and special events, and provide on-site event support if needed

· General support of the press office

· Ad-hoc project work and carrying out specific or general research


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· 2-3 years of relevant VIP and influencer experience

· Knowledge of key stylist, publicists, managers, and influencer contacts for upcoming outreach

· Experience using Launch Metrics, sample loaning and gifting, messenger services, tracking press coverage

· General knowledge of all media including strong understanding of digital landscape and social media platforms

· Creative thinker and extremely detail oriented

· Hard-working and proactive candidate who is enthusiastic, works well within a team and has a passion for celebrity/VIP relations

· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· An understanding of the luxury fashion industry is vital
