Cashier/ Barista

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Barista to join our vibrant café team. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and non-alcoholic drinks, following established recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales accurately and efficiently
• Handle retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the team
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
• Ability to prepare non-alcoholic beverages accurately while maintaining quality standards
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and register reconciliation
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Previous experience with coffee preparation, beverage service, and drink presentation is highly desirable
