Job Description:
We are looking for a personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Wine Tasting Host to join our team! As a Wine Tasting Host, you’ll be the face of our brand, responsible for guiding guests through our wine offerings, educating them on the nuances of each selection, and creating a memorable and enjoyable experience. We hold our tastings on Fridays and Saturdays from 12PM - 5PM, and Sundays 11am-3pm.
15.00/hr plus Tips
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Lead wine tastings, sharing information on wine varieties, production methods, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all guests have a great experience from start to finish.
- Answer guest questions about our wines, vineyard, and winery history.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the tasting area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain knowledge of current wine offerings, seasonal changes, and any special promotions or events.
- Handle payments, reservations, and any related administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- Passion for wine and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or wine-related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and connect with guests, making them feel comfortable and valued.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability on weekends and holidays, as these are peak times for tastings.
- Knowledge of wine tasting terminology, varietals, and pairing basics is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Must be 21 or older.
