You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities The Early Childhood Teacher is primarily responsible for loving and responsive care of children from infants to preschool age.Responsible for positive interactions with children, co-teachers, and parents/guardians and for promoting a home like atmosphere in the classroom. Responsible for the children’s health and safety as well as assuring compliance with all state and local governing contracting agencies. Design customized curriculum plans by adapting daily care routines and plans to the interests and needs of the individual child and the group. Provide a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning, interests, and growth. Conduct observation and developmental assessments as needed. Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child's background by incorporating the cultural, linguistic, and familial values and beliefs into the childcare program and lesson plans. Qualifications1-3 years experience teaching in a licensed childcare centerStrong understanding of child developmentPatient, kind, and nurturingExcellent organizational, communication, and time management skillsFirst aid/CPR certified
