Purple Label Government Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Affairs Associate to join our dynamic team. that is able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Our firm lobbies for and represents local governments, non-profits, associations, and Fortune-500 companies. We interact with CEOs, lawmakers, and state/federal agencies on a daily basis, so we have high expectations for professionalism and work product. Our clients and their goals are our top priority.
Role Description
This is a full-time role as an Associate for our firm, located in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will assist in managing government relations, conducting research, and supporting the execution of our clients' strategic objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes. As an Associate you will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, monitoring legislative and regulatory activities, and assisting with the development of strategies. Additionally, this role will conduct administrative duties, this included but not limited to, staffing the firm partners and office, scheduling and event coordination, and managing seasonal interns. The Associate should expect to attend meetings and public hearings that are outside the normal business hours at the Colorado State Capitol, local governments, and community associations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field
- Knowledge and understanding of the political landscape and government processes
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent note taking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in scheduling and correspondence
- Previous experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields is preferred
