Internal Job Description: We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 10 years of experience to support critical infrastructure for a technology platform. This role emphasizes traditional DevOps practices — CI/CD pipeline engineering, on-prem/hybrid infrastructure automation, and release management — rather than cloud-native or cloud-heavy environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting mission-critical applications
- Manage build, release, and deployment processes across on-prem and hybrid environments
- Administer and troubleshoot infrastructure using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory/Nexus, and configuration management platforms (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline release cycles
- Support automation of build, test, and deployment workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues in coordination with infrastructure and application support teams
- Maintain documentation for deployment processes, environment configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Participate in change management and release governance processes typical of a regulated financial environment
