What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Purple Hires Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead plant accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
✅ Manage monthly financial close activities and reporting packages
✅ Analyze product costs and provide cost-performance insights to leadership
✅ Monitor budgets, variances, and cost-saving opportunities
✅ Reconcile intercompany accounts and maintain inventory costing accuracy
✅ Coordinate annual physical inventories and variance reporting
✅ Prepare sales & use tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other regulatory filings
✅ Partner with plant leadership to support operational and financial improvements
✅ Support ERP (IFS) implementation initiatives across Finance and Operations
Required Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
✔ 3 years of management experience
✔ Manufacturing, plant accounting, cost accounting, or operational finance experience
✔ Strong financial analysis, reporting, and data management skills
✔ Experience working with inventory, costing, budgeting, and operational leadership teams
✔ Ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment
