Job Description:
Interiors Engineer – Restraints (Airbags & Seatbelts)
- Design, develop, and integrate restraint systems including airbags and seatbelts across the product lifecycle
- Define system and component requirements aligned with safety regulations and vehicle performance targets
- Lead DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation activities to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance (FMVSS/ECE)
- Coordinate CAD, packaging, and CAE activities for system integration
- Manage supplier deliverables, design reviews, and issue resolution
- Support prototype builds, sled tests, vehicle testing, and production launch
- Ensure targets for cost, weight, quality, and timing are achieved
- Collaborate with safety, integration, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Apply design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and robust engineering practices
Interiors Engineer – Carpets, Soft Trim & Insulators
- Design and develop interior soft trim systems (carpets, insulators, acoustic components) from concept to launch
- Convert styling, NVH, and durability requirements into manufacturable solutions
- Define component specifications and interface requirements
- Lead DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation testing (fit, finish, durability, acoustics)
- Coordinate CAD design, packaging, material selection, and tolerance analysis
- Manage supplier reviews, tooling development, and issue resolution
- Support prototype builds, DV/PV testing, and production ramp-up
- Ensure cost, weight, quality, and craftsmanship targets are met
- Work with design, NVH, manufacturing, and quality teams
