Hands-on PHP engineer providing production support, bug resolution, and performance optimization for web applications. Acts as the technical bridge between engineering and operations owning issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely fixes in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support: Monitor, triage, and resolve PHP application issues across production environments within defined SLAs
Aware of Web Application Development Lifecycle
Bug Fixes & Patches: Diagnose and fix defects in PHP codebases; deploy hotfixes with minimal downtime
Knowledge of tools: Splunk, Tableau
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring failures, document findings, and implement permanent solutions
Code Review & Quality: Review PHP code for bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks
Database Support: Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database-related application issues (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
API Support: Debug and support RESTful API integrations and third-party service connections
Documentation: Maintain runbooks, incident logs, and known-error knowledge base
