Oracle HCM Functional Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Consultant to support the configuration, enhancement, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle Cloud HCM applications. The consultant will work closely with HR business stakeholders, functional leaders, and HRIS teams to understand business requirements, configure HCM solutions, resolve system issues, and support the delivery of efficient and scalable HR processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR and multiple HCM modules, along with a solid understanding of HR business processes, system configuration, testing, production support, and process improvement.

Although the role includes reporting, analytics, and technical activities, this is primarily a functional HRIS position and not a dedicated Oracle HCM Reports or Reporting Team role. The consultant should be capable of independently managing functional requirements and supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of Oracle Cloud HCM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support Oracle Cloud HCM applications based on business requirements and established HR processes.

• Manage functional activities across Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR and multiple HCM modules.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Oracle Cloud HCM configurations and solutions.

• Evaluate the impact of configuration changes on related HCM modules, HR processes, integrations, and downstream systems.

• Participate in the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud HCM functionality.

• Ensure that system configurations align with business requirements, HR policies, and organizational objectives.

• Independently manage multiple functional assignments and priorities across the Oracle Cloud HCM platform.

Oracle Cloud HCM Modules

Provide functional support and expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR and multiple modules, including:

• Core Human Resources (Core HR)

• Benefits

• Compensation

• Career Development

• Succession Planning

• Performance Management

• Absence Management

• HCM Analytics

• Responsibilities may include configuring business processes, supporting module enhancements, analyzing cross-module impacts, troubleshooting functional issues, and assisting HR stakeholders with system-related questions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

• 10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM.

• Strong functional experience with Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR.

• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting multiple Oracle Cloud HCM modules.

• Strong understanding of HR business processes, including employee data management, benefits, compensation, performance management, career development, succession planning, and absence management.

• Experience gathering business requirements, preparing functional specifications, configuring applications, and supporting testing and implementation.

• Experience providing Oracle Cloud HCM production support and resolving functional issues.

• Strong understanding of the impact of configuration changes across HCM modules and related business processes.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM reporting and analytics tools, including OTBI, BI Publisher (BIP), and/or FDI.

• Working knowledge of SQL, Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, Flows, and Value Sets.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
