This role supports a post-operative orthopedic unit focused on joint replacements, ortho trauma, and recovery-based patient care in a med/surg setting.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for nurses with strong orthopedic or med/surg experience who are comfortable managing post-op patients, pain control, and mobility-focused recovery plans.

- Night shift 3x12s (18:45–07:15)

- Floating required within scope

COMPENSATION

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide care for post-operative orthopedic patients
- Manage joint replacements and ortho trauma cases
- Administer medications and monitor pain control
- Perform wound care and post-surgical assessments
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation goals
- Monitor for complications and escalate care as needed
- Document all care in Epic EMR system
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Acute care hospital setting
- Orthopedic surgery / med-surg unit
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Medication system: Omnicell

- Minimum 1 year Orthopedic or Med/Surg RN experience REQUIRED
- Travel experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- EPIC experience REQUIRED (1 year)
- Active TN RN license or compact license REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable with post-op orthopedic patients
- First-time travelers NOT accepted
