Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment to mitigate water damage effectively.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitation of affected areas, including carpets, upholstery, and hard surfaces.
- Assist with fire restoration efforts by removing debris, cleaning soot and smoke damage, and preparing sites for repairs.
- Execute mold remediation procedures following industry standards to eliminate mold growth safely and permanently.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, construction repairs, and asbestos abatement when necessary.
- Support the installation of containment barriers and perform asbestos abatement tasks adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all restoration activities, including assessments, work performed, and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage restoration is a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience with cleaning techniques across various environments—residential or commercial—is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fire damage cleanup processes including soot removal and odor control.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Experience with mold remediation procedures and asbestos abatement protocols is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding situations while maintaining high safety standards.
