Back Up Driver (CDL A)/HP Plant

We are looking for a fulltime Back Up Driver/HP Plant in Grand Rapids, MI. This position is primarily a Back Up Driver to our local drivers during PTO/sick time, delivering goods to customers, as well as loading and unloading interoffice/local trailers and assisting in HP Plant.

• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Job Functions: Back Up Driver delivering goods to customers, and loading and unloading interoffice/local trailers and assisting in HP Plant.
• Hours: Typical hours range from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Home daily (no overnights).

Responsibilities

• · Have/obtain a Class A CDL and needed endorsements and be willing to deliver products as needed.
• · Deliver welding supplies and gases to customers.
• · Attend periodic product knowledge and training
• · Perform general plant positions
• · move cylinders with forklift trucks, carts or manually
• · load and unload inter-office trailers
• · low pressure filling

• · Other as needed and qualified
• · All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• · Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• · CDL Class A with Hazmat Endorsement highly preferred, but will train the right candidate who is willing and able to obtain these credentials.
• · Ability to move heavy objects (60lbs or more).
• · Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• · Good organizational and time management skills.
• · High school degree.
• · Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
