What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non CDL Driver for Commercial Laundry position at Purestar Group?
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for driving and operating company trucks in a safe manner at all times. This position will deliver carts of clean linen and pick up carts of soiled linen at customer locations, unloading & loading carts of clean & soil linen at the plant.
Job Duties:
- Conduct a pre-trip inspection prior to leaving the plant on every truck driven during the shift & turn in daily
- Report any vehicle damage or vehicle service issues to management prior to leaving the plant
- Ensure the truck cabs are kept clean
- Scan in carts of soiled linen & scan out carts of clean linen at driver station using scanner/computer
- Maintain a daily trip sheet logging the account name, time leaving the plant, number of carts delivered, carts returned, time returning to the plant, truck number, noting any issues that occurred during the delivery
- Collect signatures by customer staff receiving deliveries using driver tablets
- Maintain a neat & clean appearance
- Follow all company rules & regulations
- Conduct yourself appropriately as a representative of Ozark Mountain Linen
Requirements:
- Verifiable driving experience required
- Minimum of Class E Endorsement (Missouri) or other state equivalent required
- Ability to obtain DOT Med Card upon hire
- Background check may be required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be familiar with basic computer functions
- Previous laundry experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull hampers on wheels with a weight up to 700 pounds
- Ability to bend forward, use hands, arms repetitively
- Ability to be a team player and get along with co-workers, supervisors and visitors
- Must be reliable & have reliable transportation
- Open availability as the plant operates 7 days a week
