What This Role Actually Is
- DECAL's core licensing application is the original application that runs critical child care licensing and program eligibility workflows for the State of Georgia.
- We are actively modernizing it lifting to .NET 8 , rearchitecting APIs, integrating Azure cloud services, and layering in React on the frontend.
- This is not a maintenance job. You will be the technical lead on that modernization, not a support resource.
- You will work on a small, focused team.
- That means you own what you build. You will design it, build it, test it, deploy it, document it, and support it in production.
- If you need someone to hand you tickets and watch over your shoulder, this is the wrong role.
Work Location: Must be physically located in Georgia.
Hybrid: Tuesday Thursday on-site at DECAL headquarters, Atlanta (subject to manager discretion)
Mandatory in-person: All Hands, Enterprise Applications meetings, DECAL All Staff, and designated on-site milestones
