Mid-Day Janitorial Technician

Location: UpStart Building | 711 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $1,500/month (1099 Independent Contractor)
Pay Date: 10th of each month

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Day Porter/Janitorial Technician to maintain the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of the UpStart Building. If you take pride in your work, show up consistently, and enjoy keeping facilities clean and professional, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Empty trash and replace liners
• Vacuum carpets and walk-off mats
• Dust desks, furniture, windowsills, counters, and other horizontal surfaces
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and floors
• Refill restroom dispensers (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) from onsite stock
• Clean and sanitize breakrooms and café areas, including sinks, countertops, tables, microwaves, and refrigerator exteriors
• Dust mop and wet mop hard surface floors
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, etc.)
• Spot clean interior glass as needed
• Report maintenance concerns or repair needs
• Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and stocked
• Perform weekly and periodic detail cleaning tasks as assigned, including high dusting, vent dusting, fingerprint removal, and floor edge detailing.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is REQUIRED
• Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism
