What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Specialist position at Purem Novi Inc?
Objective of the Position: Sets up and operates specialized equipment, such as the Weil, TTE, Stuffers, Pipe Benders, Eagle Line, Comas, in the production of exhaust systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the overall performance of the specific manufacturing equipment assigned.
- Expected to make necessary adjustments to optimize performance throughout a production run.
- Expected to make effective tooling and equipment change-overs in accordance with production schedules.
- Responsible for performing Preventative maintenance tasks as indicated on the appropriate TPM task list.
- Responsible to ensure adherence to ENA quality policies and procedures and that product Quality expectations are met.
- Responsible for any data input and recording necessary to support communication and performance improvement.
- Expected to actively participate in continuous improvement activities and assist in developing positive communications.
- Operates equipment producing parts for production.
- Responsible for maintaining 5S in department and periodically participating with audit process.
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum two years’ experience related experience and/or training in manufacturing setting.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Entry level knowledge in welding and metal forming techniques a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Working Conditions:
- This position involves working indoors around mechanical and hazards, fumes, irritants, with exposure to cold, heat and high noise levels under adverse conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
