The Estimator is responsible for accurately preparing estimates and bids for commercial landscape construction and enhancement projects. This role requires analyzing project scope, specifications, and related documents to determine labor, material, and equipment costs while ensuring profitability and adherence to PureGreen Land Group’s standards. The estimator works closely with account managers, project managers, purchasing teams, and subcontractors to develop competitive proposals and ensure seamless project execution.

Core Responsibilities:

   Estimate Preparation:

    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate cost estimates for landscape construction and enhancement projects.
    • Gather, calculate, and compile take-off data for use in bid proposals.
    • Identify labor, material, and equipment requirements by collaborating with account managers and project managers.
    • Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

   Project Costing & Proposal Development:

    • Compute total costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
    • Utilize estimating software to generate bid proposals and cost reports.
    • Develop and maintain a database of material, labor, and subcontractor pricing to ensure up-to-date, competitive estimates.

   Project Coordination:

    • Assist in pre-construction planning by coordinating with purchasing and operations teams on material procurement and scheduling.
    • Tag materials in the yard, identify buy-ins, and coordinate with the purchasing department when needed.
    • Secure and schedule all necessary resources (labor, machines, plant material, subcontractors, and utility mark-outs) once a contract is signed.

   Client & Team Collaboration:

    • Maintain ongoing communication with project managers and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and expectations.
    • Work closely with field teams to ensure estimates reflect realistic production rates and site conditions.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in landscape estimating, landscape construction, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of commercial landscaping, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial landscaping or construction project management.
  • Familiarity with Aspire, LMN, or similar estimating software.
  • Experience working with subcontractors and purchasing departments.
  • Knowledge of local landscape and irrigation regulations.

Our Company Compensation Package includes:

  • Starting salary $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 (based on experience)
