Position Summary
The Water Treatment Production Manager oversees the daily operations, scheduling, quality control, and performance of the production and installation team for residential and commercial water treatment systems. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company quality standards while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
The Production Manager coordinates technicians, inventory, warehouse operations, installation timelines, and service quality while supporting company growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily production and installation operations
- Schedule installations, service calls, and technician assignments
- Monitor job completion quality and ensure compliance with company standards
- Coordinate inventory, equipment, and material availability for upcoming jobs
- Train, mentor, and evaluate installation and production staff
- Conduct job site inspections and quality assurance checks
- Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing, water treatment, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate production records, job tracking, and reporting
- Resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and scheduling conflicts
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Improve workflow efficiency and production performance
- Communicating with plumber on staff
- Assist with hiring and onboarding technicians as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in water treatment, plumbing, construction, or related field operations
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of water filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and treatment systems preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient with scheduling software, mobile apps, and basic computer systems
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Certifications
- Water treatment industry certifications preferred but not required
- Plumbing or mechanical experience strongly preferred
- OSHA or safety training a plus
- (PE) License is also preferred and would likely have an upward adjustment in pay
Work Environment
- Combination of office, warehouse, and field/job site work
- May require lifting equipment and occasional travel to job locations
- Fast-paced environment with multiple active projects
