Job Summary
We are seeking a detail oriented Payroll and Recruiting Administrator to join the HR team in a dynamic semiconductor environment. This role is primarily focused on end to end payroll processing across three facilities in California and Arizona, with additional support in recruiting. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of CA wage and hour compliance, the ability to travel regularly between our San Jose and Campbell locations, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Vietnamese to effectively support employee communications across our facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll -
- Review and submit weekly timecards to staffing agencies
- Maintain and track employee timecards, monitoring for errors and compliance with meal break requirements per CA & AZ laws.
- Conduct final timecard verification for accurate processing for all pay types including hours worked, overtime, paid leave, and shift differentials per company policies.
- Coordinate with managers to resolve timecard discrepancies.
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions and in navigating the payroll system as needed.
- Process wage garnishments, support orders, and tax levies to ensure timely remittance to agencies
- Ensure all payroll deductions and/or adjustments are input/processed correctly and timely.
- Conduct monthly payroll benefit audits and reconcile payroll deduction reports.
Recruiting -
- Assist in full-cycle recruiting including posting job openings, screening resumes, candidate communications, conducting initial interviews, and scheduling interviews.
- Partner with staffing agencies to source qualified candidates
Administrative Support -
- Provide day-to-day support to employees by answering general HR questions and directing inquiries as needed
- Serve as a multilingual resource, assisting Spanish and/or Vietnamese speaking employees and facilitate communication as needed
- Assist with company events, such as employee initiatives, luncheons, and office gatherings
- Perform general administrative tasks that consist of filing, answering phone calls, maintaining office supplies, and greeting visitors
- Update and maintain accurate employee data records in our HRIS
- Support HR recordkeeping by organizing and maintaining personnel and confidential files
- Provide additional support to HR operations on various projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience processing payroll.
- 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support.
- Multilingual in English, Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- General knowledge of Human Resources, recruiting and labor laws.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Paycom or other HRIS is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a bilingual environment or providing translation support is highly desirable.
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
