As part of the Monetization Strategy and Operations team, you are responsible for becoming the primary resource for all subscription service agreements both pre and post-sales.  You lead the business operations and governance models that drive Pure’s As-A-Service subscription program.  Strong operations/process, attention to detail, understanding and executing of subscription contracts; use of Salesforce.com is crucial.  This role also requires an ability to work with teams to define and communicate unique deal terms into subscription contracts.  You must problem solve, identify areas of improvement,  and engage with legal and field teams to create a sustainable and efficient business contracts process for unique terms and asks from customers.  You have a good understanding of financial KPI’s, ability to understand subscription and financial models.  This role sits in the CFO org and requires collaborating across multiple product BUs and cross-functional teams.

 

  • Gain in-depth understanding of Pure Storage business models including both traditional hardware, software, maintenance and subscription services.

  • Able to understand, execute and manage operational tasks which can include, but is not limited to, the following:

    • Review hardware configurations

    • Modify service subscriptions

    • Validate invoicing set up

    • Validate billing amounts for complex accounts

    • Enable global subscription commitments

  • Provide feedback and work cross functionally to provide automation via continuous process improvement

  • Understand the subscription sku catalog to provide teams with appropriate configurations based on subscription type and/or custom requirements

  • Engage on team projects to create and connect operations to new subscription offerings and routes to market

  • Enable and Drive Subscription Governance

    • Provide oversight for existing subscription services

    • Enable Customer Success Teams to help manage customer requests (extensions, expansions, new site creation, exception handling)

    • Become the Center of Excellence for the subscription framework 

    • Handle escalation requests

  • Manage post-sales subscription SLAs 

  • Single point of contact for Deals, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success

  • Provide guidance and clarity on Pure SLOs as outlined in subscription agreements

  • Escalation resource for teams when CX team receives non-standard term requests

  • Responsible for ongoing contract governance from a commercial perspective

  • Initial contracts review and validation, recording non-standard terms 

  • Operationalize non-standard contracts working with cross-functional teams

  • Ongoing financial analysis and reviews with finance on current subscription performance

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

Experience

  • 5 years of Governance, Subscription Operations or Consulting experience

  • Experience in working with high profile companies within the Financial or Technology industry verticals

  • Managed or led subscription services operations or provided a governance/oversight role

  • Worked with cross functional teams to enable processes and or governance models

  • Led cross functional teams and/or processes during a project

Qualifications

  • Experience in storage is not required, but a strong aptitude for learning IT infrastructure is → Intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance, and organizational design

  • Penchant for solving problems with a strong analytical and critical thinking mindset

  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and handle high levels of ambiguity
