We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Members to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing food and beverages in a fast-paced café environment. Your contributions will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that they enjoy their experience from the moment they walk in until they leave.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate Clover POS system for order taking and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Support team members in various tasks including bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on menu changes and best practices in food handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry, barista or a quick service/fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
