Manufacturing Technician – Engineering Support

Position Overview :
Supports the Assembly and Test manufacturing engineering group in supporting and upgrading existing processes. Provide hands on development of new processes. Support complex engineering studies to improve product or process performance.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do :
- Support the engineering team in developing and improving new Assembly and Test processes for the manufacture of Injectors, Pumps Turbos and Valves
- Work with the processes, through the metrics of throughput, inventory reduction, scrap & rework tracking, and cost reduction to achieve objectives.
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized workplace / environment with 6S principles through training and audits.
- Drive team to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
- Drive focus on safety as an integral part of the team’s day-to-day awareness and activities.
- Train other associates as required in technical knowledge of product and processes. Promote safety and quality along with best practices in areas of expertise.
- Lead responsibility for ordering tooling and making sure all supplies are available to operate cell in efficient manner.
- Set-up and changeover equipment and participate in machine qualifications at suppliers and in house.
- Identify and utilize all resources required to meet department objectives by coordinating with support departments.
- Machine alignment and error proofing verification.
- Operate manufacturing equipment as required.
