Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high product quality, and cost-effective operations. This role works cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve technical challenges on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Support daily production by troubleshooting issues and implementing root cause corrective actions (RCA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process optimization.
- Design and improve work instructions, standard work, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Support new product launches by developing manufacturing methods, tooling, and process validation plans.
- Work with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment performance, uptime, and reliability.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to improve production flow.
- Evaluate and implement automation and process improvements where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive or industrial preferred).
- Experience with process improvement, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automated systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
